SQA/IV&V

SQA encompasses the entire software development process, which includes processes such as requirements definition, software design, coding, source code control, code reviews, software configuration management, testing, release management, and product integration. SQA ensures that the entire software development process is in conformance with a set of rigorous quality controls.

We go above and beyond with IV&V

IV&V are independent procedures performed by a disinterested third party that are used together with internal controls for checking that a product, service, or system meets requirements and specifications and that it fulfills its intended purpose. These are critical components of a quality management system such as ISO 9000. The PMBOK guide, a standard adopted by IEEE, defines them as follows in its 4th edition:

  • "Validation. The assurance that a product, service, or system meets the needs of the customer and other identified stakeholders. It often involves acceptance and suitability with external customers. Contrast with verification."
  • "Verification. The evaluation of whether or not a product, service, or system complies with a regulation, requirement, specification, or imposed condition. It is often an internal process. Contrast with validation."

Why Internal Verification is important to ProSphere

We are proud of our approach to quality assurance, allowing all stakeholders to recognize the standards implemented on a project, which facilitates the fair, accurate, and consistent assessment of a project’s performance and goals. These methodologies are tasked with determining whether the software development is adhering to our rigorous standards, ironing out any static coding errors early on, and guaranteeing a higher quality final software product.
