Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)

Independent Verification & Validation is a set of unbiased procedures performed by an objective third party that are used with internal controls to ensure a product, service, or system meets requirements and fulfills its intended purpose.

What We Do:

ProSphere employs IV&V to review, evaluate, and validate methodologies used in developing, testing, maintaining, and securing systems and software. Any process-oriented quality-driven organization that requires a systematic, repeatable approach to delivering quality assurance services benefits greatly from this approach, as it ensures the right tool is applied to the right system for the right reason. Independent Verification & Validation activities assures commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) compatibility, backed by stringent software development engineering practices, including rapid prototyping and various system testing activities.

Success Story:

On our VA Enterprise Implementation Readiness Analysis and Review Services contract, ProSphere tested and evaluated five existing Veterans Health Administration innovations projects for possible national implementation. We delivered services for certification of software against VA and Federal Government Information Technology standards, IV&V, quality assurance, and preparation of documentation for security certification and accreditation. Our IV&V technique was instrumental in uncovering any vulnerabilities in the system and services before launch. This allowed VA to rectify those vulnerabilities before implementing nation-wide.
